Lierce

Lierce, Heartbinder, is the goddess of love, as well as the patron of strength of body and mind alike. She encourages her followers to love unselfishly and passionately, to devote themselves to true love rather than selfish lusts, and to offer their strength to those who are lacking. Lierce appears as an athletic, beautiful woman with bare arms. Her symbol is a pair of linked rings.

In Rasenna, the church of Lierce is unfortunately corrupt in many regions. The wealthy, particularly those of the Great Houses, have lavished priests with favors and gifts in exchange for proclamations that their political marriages meet with the Heartbinder’s favor. Those priests who refuse their blessings to marriages made for political reasons frequently find themselves at odds with their fellows, and are strongly encouraged not to “upset the glass.”
